We made it to another destination this past weekend — and YES, it was magical!
My husband completely surprised me with a trip back to one of our favorite places: Savannah, Georgia.
If you’ve ever been, you know the vibe — slow, romantic, full of charm. And if you haven’t? Put it on your bucket list. I honestly don’t know anyone who’s been and hasn’t fallen in love with it.
The Journey Begins
The drive up was peaceful — a mix of quiet moments and spontaneous laughter. If anything played in the background, it was usually a comedy skit or something random from the History Channel. (because… balance, right?).
Check-in wasn’t until 5 p.m. (which felt way too late — seriously, five hours after check-out??), but we didn’t let it steal our joy.
Balcony Goals: Hyatt for the Win
We stayed at the Hyatt, and let me just say… we scored.
We secured one of only four balconies. We also landed a corner room overlooking both the water and the city. It. Was. STUNNING.
After an early check-in (bless!) and a little waiting around, we finally settled in. I snapped one of my favorite pictures ever right on the waterfront. Peaceful, beautiful, soul-filling.
Exploring, Selfies & Pong Battles
The next morning was all about exploring, snapping photos, and making memories.
Yes, we took a selfie with the town behind us. My husband is apparently secretly a selfie king. 😂
After some laughs and a spontaneous round of pong (which I won, thank you very much!), we got ready for a stroll around the city.
Okay, full honesty: he usually beats me in pong — like five out of six games. I rarely take a series win when we play best of seven, so this one felt extra sweet.
🍽Good Vibes, Great Drinks, and a Spooky Surprise
Finding the right spot to eat is always a bit of an adventure for me. (I’m big on aesthetics — I admit it!). We wandered around and soaked up the sights. Eventually, we found a cozy little bar with great food. The vibes were comfy and the drinks were well-earned.
And wouldn’t you know — the escape room was just around the corner! Fate, much?
The Escape Room — Just the Two of Us

It was just the two of us, the stakes were high… and WE WON! 🎉
