The truth about being a mom who wants to do more
I tried to pick one thing.
One lane.
One identity.
One version of myself that made sense.
But every time I did…
I felt like I was leaving pieces of me behind.
Because I’m not built for one thing.
I’m a mom.
A creator.
A builder.
An idea machine.
And if you’re being honest…
you probably are too.
A mom has never been just one thing.
Not now.
Not ever.
She has always been a queen of all trades.
Before titles…
before “finding your niche”…
before anyone told us to stay in one lane…
Moms were already:
- nurturing
- teaching
- creating
- solving
- leading
- building
All at the same time.
So it only makes sense…
you don’t want to be just one thing either.
You’re not doing too much.
You’re just finally seeing how much you’re capable of.
That pull you feel to:
- create something
- build something
- try something new
That’s not distraction.
That’s who you’ve always been.
Here’s how I actually live this without burning out:
- I don’t pick one thing forever
- I pick one focus for the week
- I don’t wait for perfect time
- I use small blocks (30 min–2 hours)
- I don’t try to grow everything at once
- I let things take turns
That’s how I stay in motion… without losing myself.
You’re not too much.
You’re just not meant for small spaces.
And maybe…
it’s time you stop trying to fit into one.
If this felt like you… you’re not alone.
You’re my kind of people. 🔥
