8 teams. 4 rounds. A three-year winning streak on the line. And a whole lot of ladies ready to play some disc golf.
Going into RAW 2026, we knew there was a team that had won this event three years in a row.
So naturally, they were the team to beat.
But this year, I was rolling in with the Jacksonville Vag-uars — Coach Sara, Becky, Jill, Jess G., Dasha, Jamie and me.
Jamie and I were the two new additions to the team, and I really didn’t know what to expect from my first RAW.
Turns out, we were about to have a BALL.
This Is Why Team Golf Is So Much Fun
RAW isn’t your typical tournament.
Instead of spending the entire day worrying about your individual score, you’re playing for points. Different matchups, singles, doubles — everybody has a role, and every point you can bring back matters.
That also means somebody has to figure out the puzzle.
Enter Coach Sara. 😂
She had the job of filling in the lineup and deciding who would play where throughout the four rounds.
And she absolutely handled it.
She put us in spots where we had opportunities to win points, and then it was up to us to go get them.
The New Girls Got Their Shot 🥏
One of my favorite moments of the day came when Jamie and I got paired together for doubles.
Two new Vag-uars playing together with 2 points on the line.
Let’s go!
We went out, played our game, worked together and brought those 2 points home for the team.
That one felt GOOD.
There’s just something different about finishing a match and knowing what you earned is going toward the entire team.
And all around us, the other Vag-uars were doing their part too.
There were good shots, missed shots, laughs, nerves, cheering and plenty of moments where we were checking to see where those points stood.
Because this thing was getting interesting.
Then We Saw the Final Board… 👀
Four rounds later, there it was.
Jacksonville Vag-uars — 21.5 points.
FIRST PLACE. 🏆
We did it!
The three-year winning streak had officially been broken, and the Vag-uars were your 2026 RAW Champions.
What made this one special wasn’t just getting the win.
It was being one of the new girls and immediately feeling like part of the team. It was getting to play doubles with Jamie. It was watching Coach Sara work the lineup. It was Becky, Jill, Jess G. and Dasha battling for points right along with us.
And honestly, it was just FUN.
That’s what I want to remember about this one.
A bunch of women spending the day competing, laughing, supporting each other and playing the sport we love.
My first RAW is officially in the books.
And somehow…
I get to write “RAW Champion” beside it. 😂🏆
Not a bad way to start.
